WELCOME!

Those of you who knew our son, Steele, know that he was a very good-natured little boy who held malice for no one.  In the words of one of Steele's friends who was also a caregiver,  "Race, creed, color, it doesn't matter to Steele.  Steele likes everybody."  Indeed, he was a very friendly little boy who loved nothing more than to help.  He was a very good boy.

The LUPUS FOUNDATION AMERICA - WISCONSIN CHAPTER, which presented Steele the very first SHINING STAR  AWARD for shining a light on the commonly fatal disease Lupus to benefit those who suffer, has announced the date of the SEVENTH Annual Lupus Walk - Strides For Lupus a fund-raiser/awareness-raiser to raise money to combat Lupus.  It will be held on FLAG DAY  June 14, 2008.  It's a great event- lots of friendly people- a great cause.  We thank the Lupus Foundation America for holding the first two walks in Steele's name and honor - Strides For Steele - A Walk For Lupus.

We'd also like to put in a good word for The Make A Wish Foundation.  They grant a wish for children with life-threatening illnesses.  Steele's fulfilled wish was to go to Disney World where he and Dad rode Dumbo (with the blue hat) together three times.

In May Dave and Carole of WKLH 96.5 FM will be holding their annual MIRACLE MARATHON to benefit our community's children by helping the best children's hospital anywhere - CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OF WISCONSIN.

The links which follow will connect you with stories that appeared in the largest newspaper in Wisconsin- The MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL.  Because Steele suffered many maladies, among them the so-frequently deadly LUPUS and many symptoms, including a heart condition unknown in all  medical history except for him, he was written about several times in that newspaper.

Marilynn Marchione wrote this big, front-page MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL story in 1998.

Marilynn Marchione also wrote this beautiful obituary about the passing of "The Best Little Boy Ever"!

Here is Steele's obituary written by Mom and Dad.

Steele was mentioned in this story about people who died in 2000   (Scroll down to December 19th.)
